Eight men are arrested in connection with a burglary ring, including the man police said was the ringleader.
Rigoberto Fernandez Donato, Orestes Chacon, Leandro Chacon, Yaser Lopez, Reinel Valdivia, Alois Cea-Gonzalez, Juan Carlos Arencibia, and Eliezer Roche Mena were all arrested between Wednesday and Friday.
The men were each charged with one count of unoccupied burglary, grand theft auto and grand theft over.
Fernandez Donato, who police said was the ringleader, was out on bond for grand theft auto and possession of auto with an altered VIN.
Police said surveillance video showed the men breaking into General Procurement on Northwest 112th Avenue on June 30.
Police said the men used a saw to break into the back of a white box truck.
When police caught up with the truck, investigators said Chacon crashed into a tree in the Dolphin Mall parking lot and tried to run away before he was caught.
During an interrogation on Friday, Police said Cea-Gonzalez attacked one of their detectives.
Both men were treated and released.
Cea-Gonzalez was also charged with battery on law enforcement officer and resisting with violence.
Cea-Gonzalez is on federal probation for possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
