Ever thought you'd do well on Wheel of Fortune?
Kendall newlyweds Ana and David Freer did.
"We watch it and, I love word puzzles so it was kind of right up our alley," said Ana.
"I basically told her, when we were on the show, 'look, we're just solving puzzles, it's just for fun, so just be calm, have fun. Solve the puzzles,'" David said.
But when Tuesday's episode aired, it became apparent the pair was there to have more than just fun.
"Oh, of course, you're there to win. You don't want to go home empty-handed," Ana said.
Empty-handed they were not.
Ana, an ER nurse, and David, a history teacher at Miami Killian Senior High, bought vowels with a vengeance and chose consonants with courage.
However, they couldn't tell anyone just how well they did when they finished taping in March. Not even their 94-year-old Wheel-watching grandma Helene.
So, in the end, revealed at the couple's watch party at Sharp Shooters Billiards in Kendall, friends and family cheered when the newlyweds clenched the final puzzle.
The pair only took a beat to solve the final phrase: "In a Hurry."
They won more than $50,000 and have already decided that the money will be put to good use.
"It happened at a good time because we're expecting our first child, so -- the universe has a way of things falling into place I guess," Ana laughed.
That's real fortune.
