Miami Beach Fire Rescue was called to the home. Neighbors said paramedics worked on the woman in the street in the hope of reviving her.

The woman was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where a doctor later pronounced her deceased, police said.

A friend representing the family spoke to Local 10 at the Bosh home Tuesday and confirmed the masseuse's death, calling it a tragic accident and saying it was unfortunate.

Bosh's wife, Adrienne Bosh, sent out several tweets beginning early Tuesday.

At 3:47 a.m., she wrote, "A beautiful soul was lost tonight. Never take the here and now for granted. Life can be so frail."

Just before noon, Adrienne Bosh tweeted, "1 min ur here,The next ur not.Today I Kissed my loved ones a few more times,I held them a little bit tighter, hugged them for a little longer."

The masseuse battled cancer about a year ago, according to the police report.

The cause of her death is unclear.

Local 10 contacted the Miami Heat for a statement, but the team has not yet responded.
