The National Hurricane Center now says an area of low pressure near the Bahamas has an 80 percent chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.

Most of the models have the system moving over Georgia and the Carolinas over the next few days. Some have it moving across the northern part of Florida. If that happens, Local 10 hurricane expert Max Mayfield says it could impact our weather in South Florida.
