Police arrested a 21-year-old man who stole a Road Ranger tow truck and crashed it into an apartment building in Hialeah.
Police charged Daniel Lorido with carjacking, fleeing and eluding, and driving under the influence.
Lorido stole the tow truck from Northwest 31st Street and 42nd Avenue, police said. The driver wasn't injured.
Lorido then led police on a high-speed chase into Hialeah, where he crashed into an apartment building at 1455 W. 44th Place, police said. The couple inside the apartment said they were sleeping when the truck crashed into their living room. They weren't injured.
Lorido was treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital before he was arrested.
