The Broward County Sheriff's Office says I-75 at Miramar Parkway has been shut down as a result of a serious car accident that occurred during rush hour traffic Friday afternoon.
Police said the accident involved one vehicle, which had rolled over with one person inside. The Florida Highway Patrol said the accident may be have occurred because of a blown tire.
Air Rescue transported the driver to Memorial Regional Hospital, according to FHP. The driver's condition is unknown at this time.
Officials said the road is expected to reopen soon.
