Police in Miramar charged three suspects accused of stealing flat screen televisions from a Target and then attempting to run over an officer who stopped them.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of a Chili's restaurant near Miramar Parkway and 163rd Avenue late Wednesday.

Eugene Foster, Nemiah Covington, and another woman were seen stealing two TVs from the Target, according to police. An officer responded to the theft and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the car, which was being driven by Rubie Mosley. The four pulled into the parking lot of the Chili's and got out of the vehicle.

Police said Covington ran away and the three others got back inside the car and drove toward the police officer. Fearing for his life, he then fired at the vehicle, said police.

The vehicle crashed into a parking car. No one was hit by the gunfire.

Mosley, Foster, and Covington were arrested. A fourth suspect remains on the loose.
