A construction worker had to be rescued by Miami Fire Rescue's technical rescue team on Saturday.

He was pouring concrete at a construction site on NW 12th Ave. and 6 St. when he was hit by a crane.  He then fell 15-20 feet.

"He actually did have a safety harness on, his boots and everything were found on the scene.  We created our own harness to verify the safety factor was there and we removed him safely with our equipment," said Captain David Nunez from Miami Fire Rescue.

The construction worker was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital with two broken legs.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was called to investigate the accident, which is standard procedure.
