A crane collapsed Friday evening in Fort Lauderdale while trying to pick up a piece of heavy equipment.
The incident happened at Northwest 15th Avenue and Third Street.
A Fort Lauderdale spokesperson said a private crane company was working on a water pipe in the area. When the crane tried lifting a piece of a equipment, it collapsed, crushing an employee's car.
The employee was not inside the car at the time.
No injuries were reported.
The company plans on working through the weekend to clear the accident scene.
