The Miami Dolphins are weighing in on the NFL's first female referee.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Shannon Eastin will be the first woman to be part of an NFL officiating crew when she works the Packers vs. Chargers game in San Diego on Thursday.

"I think it's great. I'm sure she's qualified to do it. She's got to have a background that warrants that she's there to do the game and I think it'd be great," said Kevin Coyle, the Dolphins' defensive coordinator.

"I'm sure she's a professional, she'll do her job, so, I don't think it'll be a big deal," said Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore.

Eastin, a collegiate referee with the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, will join a group of replacement officials who are working games while the NFL's full-time officials are locked out due to a labor dispute.
