Preparations for the Miami Heat's championship parade are underway.

For hours on Saturday night, crews set up barricades along the nearly 2 mile parade route.

The parade will begin at Southwest Eighth Street and Second Avenue, travel east on Eighth Street and then turn north on Brickell Avenue. It will cross the bridge and go north on Biscayne Boulevard and into the American Airlines Arena via Northeast Eighth Street.

Restaurants and store owners along the route were also getting ready on Saturday.

Mario Duva, who opened Mamma Lucia in November, is hoping the Heat's big win will be his gain.

"They are going to see, obviously, that we exist. They are going to be inclined to come in," said Duva about his pizza restaurant.

Duva hopes customers who buy a slice keep coming back. It's what happened at Absolute Cigar shop six years ago.

"I know it will bring good, new customers," said Mauricio Hanono.

Hanono said many customers who stopped in during the Heat's 2006 championship parade later became regulars.

"This is very good for business, very good. We are all excited. I would [it] could be tomorrow," he added.

Banners congratulating the Heat are already up along the parade route.

On Saturday, it was announced that tickets for inside the AmericanAirlines Arena had sold out.
