Florida Highway Patrol troopers found the car involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash.
The crash happened Friday night on Florida's Turnpike near Southwest 200 St.
Three cars were involved. Elizabeth Sanchez, 37, was killed in the crash.
Bryan Echevarria, 29, who was driving the vehicle Sanchez was riding in, was injured. He was taken to Kendall Regional in serious condition.
On Sunday evening in Key Largo, FHP reported finding the Chrysler PT Cruiser believed to have caused the crash.
The owner told troopers he lent someone else the car and it was returned to him damaged.
The owner's name wasn't released.
Troopers are investigating.
