Fort Lauderdale Police and Broward Sheriff's Office deputies found themselves in a car chase early Tuesday morning. It started when cops came across two drivers arguing near Broward Blvd. and SW 21st Ave., and one of the drivers pulled out a gun. Police came over to intervene, and the driver sped away in an SUV.
The chase went north on I-95 to the Copans road exit. The SUV ran off an embankment, and police were able to catch the driver.
Three or four people were inside the SUV at the time, some needed to be taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Everyone who was in the car was arrested.
No word if police retrieved the gun. Stay tuned to Local 10 and Local10.com for updates.
