A suspected carjacker broke down in tears and apologized as he was stealing a man's Jaguar, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies. William Davis told deputies that he had just parked his Jaguar at his home in West Palm Beach on Monday, Nov. 7 when he was approached by a man on a BMX-style bike. Davis said the man yelled at him, "Hey! I don't want to do this. This isn't my first time." According to Davis, when he turned to confront the man, he was pointing a gun at him. The man then told Davis to take off his pants, so he could check them for money. He also demanded Davis' wedding ring. During this time, Davis said the man appeared to be crying and kept apologizing to him for robbing him. Davis said the suspect finally took his keys and fled in his Jaguar with his cellphone and wedding ring. Williams then ran upstairs and his wife called 911. The next day, Davis' wife called detectives to say the carjacker had made several calls from her husband's cell phone. The day after that, Broward Sheriff's deputies called the Palm Beach Sheriff's office to say they had recovered Williams' Jaguar after a chase and crash in Pompano Beach. The car was totaled after it had crashed into a concrete pole. Deputies arrested Rashod Lamar Noble, 21, nearby after they said he bailed from the crashed car. They then dialed Davis' cell phone number and heard it ringing in the stolen Jaguar.  They did not find a gun in the car. Deputies then took Noble to the hospital for his injuries. During questioning, they said he told them, "F*** you. I'll beat the charges here and in Palm Beach." Deputies then set up a photo lineup for Davis and his wife and they positively identified Noble as the man who robbed them two days earlier. After Noble was positively identified, deputies arrested and charged him with auto theft, fleeing and eluding, Noble reportedly gave the following, long rambling statement to deputies: "How can you charge me with auto theft when I stole the car in Palm Beach. There is a reason I did not have a gun on me. I pointed the gun at the guy when I took the car but without the gun and the fact I have the keys I will win the case in court. I just got out of jail for the same thing. The judge let me off on the charges because I stole the car from a drug user. I mainly am a drug dealer, that's what I do, that's how I make my money. I only steal cars when I need a ride, I don't steal them to make a profit. I am a drug dealer and user. I shoot up cocaine in my arm. That is why I am thin and fit. I would have gotten away from you slow cops if I would have not cut into the neighborhood. I knew I was going to crashand I chose to hit the pole so I did not hit an oncoming car and kill myself or anyone else. Ya, I pointed the gun at the guy and took his car but I will get a public defender then fire him, then I will get a second public defender and fire him, then they will have to give me a real attorney pro bono and I will beat the charges. Without the gun, they have no case." Noble is also charged with armed carjacking and aggravated assault with a firearm.
