In many of the cases, police said, the man wore a shirt with the word "Police" on it.
Miami police said the man became violent in two of the cases. He punched one person in the face before taking his wallet, and in another, he pulled a gun.
"He pointed it at the victim's head, demanded all the victim's property, then took off," Cruz said.
The robber is described as a Hispanic man who is 25-35 years old, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches tall and 190-200 pounds. He has tattoos, and his hair is short.
