UNCUT VIDEO: Cruiser speeds through sand
"God forbid he would have killed a pedestrian, a woman, a child," said new Miami Beach Police Chief Ray Martinez.
Video showed the patrol car speeding on the sand while shocked onlookers watch. At one point, the cruiser was going so fast it went airborne.
It's the second incident in the chief's first month on the job.
Last month, officer Michael Veski was relieved of duty. Sources told Local 10 someone spotted Veski drinking a beer while riding in the front of a patrol car.
