Early Saturday, a crime scene van and a Miramar police cruiser were still outside the home of a missing woman where investigators spent all of Friday looking for clues in her disappearance.

The home search continues one day after the Department of Children and Families named Torrez's estranged husband, Cid Torrez, a person of interest.

Friday morning, the court granted custody of their three children to Vilet Torrez's mother. Cid Torrez will be allowed to visit with his children this weekend under DCF supervision. Police have not named him a suspect.

Vilet Torrez was last seen last Friday night with a male co-worker with whom she went to dinner. It appears she made it home, because her car was found in the parking lot. But, she did not show up for any of her weekend appointments.

"I'm hoping, praying to God that she's alive. She would never leave those children, believe me. Those children were her life," said Nayiva Blanco, Vilet Blanco's sister.

The search continues for Vilet Torrez. Anyone with information is asked to call the Miramar Police Department at 954-602-4000.
