Trayvon Martin's mother appeared at Sunday church service in Miami Gardens and spoke with Local 10 about the death of her teenage son.
Sybrina Fulton shared her heartfelt thanks to the thousands who have joined the movement.
"I'd just like to say that we really thank them, that we appreciate all of their support. It means a lot to us," Fulton told Local 10.
It was over a month ago when her son was shot and killed by a volunteer neighborhood watchman. George Zimmerman is claiming self defense and has not been arrested.
Since then tension has been mounting. There has been a public outcry as people across the country call for the arrest of Zimmerman.
The case has now been turned over to federal and state investigators.
The attorney representing Zimmerman says Florida's "Stand your Ground" law does apply, but the authors of the bill argue the interpretation of the law.
