A group of protesting fans gathered outside the Dolphins' team facility in Davie on Tuesday to air their frustration over the team's offseason moves.

Following the first week of free agency, where the Dolphins didn't sign the big name quarterback they were looking for and traded away their best offensive weapon, Dol-fan frustration reached new levels.

"We've had enough. We're fed up, tired of the orange-carpet nonsense, tired of the owner and general manager," protest organizer Matthew Cozzo said.

About 60 dejected fans showed up throughout the day with signs in hand. Most of them had messages for General Manager Jeff Ireland.

The Dolphins responded by saying, "We have the most passionate fans in football and they are not shy about letting their sentiments be known. We understand and are working hard on giving them something to cheer about this season."

The once-proud franchise has taken a beating in the national spotlight this week.

Sports Illustrated NFL writer Peter King wrote, "In the history of NFL general managers, Ireland is on the coldest streak ever. He needs to do something right. Ireland may have to do what he loathes -- overspend for an OK player -- just to deodorize the stink of the last few years in Miami."

"To believe I almost went there, but it was an easy decision not to. It’s my honest opinion, not a good guy making decisions," Steelers safety Ryan Clark said.

And then, former Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter said, "I don't think when you come in being recruited by him, you totally believe things coming out of his mouth. I think he's a guy that's not trustworthy."

Back home, it seems there are a good amount of people who feel the same way. However, no matter how upset these fans may be, they all said they're Dolphins fans for life.
