A pedestrian was hit and killed while crossing University Drive on Tuesday evening.
It happened at Sheridan Street and University Drive in Pembroke Pines at about 8:48 p.m.
Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said a man in his mid-40s was crossing University in an unlit area of the street when he was hit.
The driver was not ticketed.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
