The attorney for a Florida teenager accused of trying to kill a teenage girl by stomping on her head wants to interview the victim to find out what she remembers.
The South Florida SunSentinel reports that defense attorney Russell Williams has been trying for months to schedule the interview with 17-year-old Josie Lou Ratley.
Williams represents 17-year-old Wayne Treacy, who is charged with attempted murder in the March 2010 beating at Deerfield Beach Middle School.
Ratley's doctors say she suffered brain damage in the attack and has no memory of what happened. Ratley's lawyer says she may not even be competent to testify in Treacy's May trial.
A judge says he'll intervene on Treacy's behalf if the Ratley interview isn't done sometime in the coming weeks.
