The National Hurricane Center in Miami on Monday gave a remnant of Tropical Storm Dorian a 30 percent chance of redeveloping into a tropical cyclone.
The disturbance was a few hundred miles north of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands on Monday afternoon. It was moving west-northwest at 15 to 20 mph.
Forecasters said the disturbance didn't have any closed, low-level circulation.
Forecasters expected the disturbance to pass north of Puerto Rico on Monday, then move across the Turks and Caicos Islands and Bahamas through Wednesday.
