Police and fire rescue were called Sunday to apartment number 408 in the building where Pedro Vargas shot and killed six people on Friday.
The fire that Vargas set in his apartment to thousands of dollars caused damage that is now giving neighbors water leaks in their units.
Police and fire rescue had to break into the apartment Sunday evening and began sweeping out gallons of water.
