Police say some families living at a Miami apartment building were displaced after its roof collapsed.
The incident happened Saturday afternoon at the 3-story building at 520 Southwest 14th Avenue.
Authorities said roofers were performing some repair work on the building. After they went off to lunch and it started to rain, police said water began to trickle down from the roof.
The top level of the building experienced damage due to falling drywall and two-feet of water on the third floor. Officials said six units were affected and condemned because of electrical hazards.
Police said there was also some water damage in those units. Some of the first floor of the building also experienced minor flooding and damage.
No was injured as a result of the incident. Police said the Red Cross has been notified to help those that were displaced.
