A woman was struck and killed early Wednesday morning in the 6300 block of North Federal Highway. John Adams, says he was with the victim when a Broward County Sheriff's patrol car hit and killed her.
Just after 3 a.m. Adams and the woman were crossing the street to go to a 711 convenience store. He says there were no lights or sirens on.
Adams then tried to perform CPR but unfortunately was not able to recover her.
"He never tried to turn around or swerve around her or nothing, he just ran straight over her... she flew 10 feet in the air and landed on her head," said Adams.
The couple had just left Imperial Point Medical Center when the woman was hit.
She told Adams she had chest pains, but they never even went inside because she started feeling better after she took medication.
BSO says she was taken to North Broward Health and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
