Firefighters had to force there way into a home to attack a fire in Wilton Manors Saturday evening.
A fire alarm alerted Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue to the blaze inside 941 NE 26th Court about 5:30 p.m.
Nobody was home, and the fire was contained to the kitchen area.
According to Matt Little, of Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, there was damage to the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the home.
For now, the home cannot be lived in until repairs are made and the power is turned back on.
The City of Wilton Manors Fire Marshal is investigating.
