Hollywood Police said that a diver found a boy after he was swept out to sea at John U. Lloyd Beach State Park on Monday.
Police said that strong currents pulled the boy around noon time. BSO and a helicopter assisted in the search.
The child was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital.
"They are working on him," said Hollywood Police Sergeant Pablo Venegas.
Venegas said that he could not confirm the boy's condition.
