A man has been shot by police after authorities say he arrived in front of a college campus with a handgun in his hand.
The incident happened Saturday afternoon in front of Miami Dade College at Northwest 114th Street and Northwest 27th Avenue.
Police said the man was on a bus showing off the handgun. He then got off the bus in front of the college.
According to Miami-Dade police, officers were then forced to shoot the man. After he was down, officers said they found a grenade in his hand.
The bomb squad is now taking over the investigation.
There are no other details at this time.
