A motorcycle landed on top of a car on I-95, causing both to catch on fire Monday afternon.
The motorcycle was on the NB exit ramp to SR 84 and was attempting to head west. Instead, the motorcycle hit the median.
The impact knocked the cyclist off the bike, but the motorcycle kept going and fell onto a car in the northbound lanes of I-95.
Flames erupted from both vehicles.
The driver was the only person inside the car and made it out safely. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood with non-life threatening injuries.
The motorcyclist was taken to Broward Health with non-life threatening injuries.
I-95 northbound at SR 84 was shut down following the crash, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
All lanes were re-opened shortly after 8 p.m.
