Florida Gulf Coast University has made history in this year's NCAA Tournament, becoming the first No. 15 seed to ever advance to the Sweet 16.

"It's crazy right now," said one student. "It's not even this busy when it's time to get books when class is starting, but right now, everyone is buzzing about FGCU.

The school of about 13,000 students has grabbed headlines since the men's basketball team upset Georgetown and San Diego State University. The hoops team joined Division I five years ago.

"No one knew where this university was and within a weekend, it was the number one searched topic on Google," said Emma Smith.

"We usually get overshadowed by the bigger schools like Florida or even South Florida, but now we get to show what we are all about," said one student.

"They are having a great time out there, throwing alley oops, shocking the world," said a third student.

"This is their special moment. Everyone has their time to shine," said a fourth student. "Hopefully, the 15 minutes of fame don't stop this weekend."

On Friday, FGCU faces Florida in a game scheduled to begin just after 10 p.m. ET. Regional No. 3 seed Florida began the tournament as the 12th-ranked team in the country. Odds makers have the Gators as heavy favorites.
