The public is gaining a clearer picture of Sen. Marco Rubio's preferred music tastes: He's in with Tupac, Eminem, Kanye West, Jay-Z and Big Sean.
But the junior senator said Tuesday he doesn't share the same love for hip hop artist Justin Timberlake, who's releasing his widely-anticipated comeback album "The 20/20 Experience."
"Listen, he's a talented performer, but he's not a --, he's not on my iPod list," Rubio said on CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper."
Even though Jay-Z appears on the album with the former 'N Sync star, the senator said he wasn't too eager to listen to Timberlake.
"No -- no -- you know, nothing against him. You know, he's very popular. He's just not one of the guys I listen to," he said.
"Not hardcore enough for Senator Rubio," Tapper said.
"Justin Timberlake?" Rubio asked, chuckling. "No."
Rubio, who's considered a potential 2016 presidential candidate, made headlines late last year when he said another hip hop artist, Pitbull, didn't quite meet his standards. His comments quickly drew criticism, as the musician hails from Rubio's hometown of Miami.
Nevertheless, Pitbull still appeared on Rubio's Spotify list a few months later. So maybe, after all, we'll see "SexyBack" on the senator's iPod one day.
