A Broward County youth pastor has been arrested, accused of sexually abusing a teenager for 10 years.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said the alleged victim, now 18, confided in a friend from church that Jeffery London, 48, abused him repeatedly for years.
The teen began living with London at age 8, when his mother left him in London's care after facing financial difficulties, police said.
London is a church youth pastor who works with the Bible Church of God in Fort Lauderdale. He was arrested Wednesday night after returning to his Lauderdale Lakes home after a Bible study at the church, police said.
Police said London also worked as the dean of students at Eagle Charter Academy in Lauderdale Lakes from 2003-2009.
Investigators said anyone who has been a victim or who has information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
