Three suspected burglars appeared in bond court yesterday. Lance Riley, 20 Terrance Young, 21 and Willie Cuyler Jr., 20 were held on 10 thousand dollars bond. Cuyler bonded out of jail but the other two remain behind bars.

Police say a brave 11-year-old boy dialed 911 while hiding in the closet of his Miami Beach home when the break-in was happening. It happened at 3260 Chase Avenue about 10:30 a.m. Friday. "Someone tried to break into my house," the boy told the 911 operator. "Please hurry!" The boy's mother than called 911.

Dispatch: He’s okay. So calm down, alright? He’s with the police, he’s fine, okay? And they even caught the guy, okay?" Caller: "Oh, they did?" Dispatch: "Yeah, your son is very smart. He dialed 911, I was the one who spoke with him. He was quiet while the subject was in the house. He was quiet."

Caller: "Oh my God! The people broke into my house, while he was there?"

Dispatch: "He was hiding, and he was talking to me and he waited until the police came and then he got out with the police. Very smart."

"I'm inside the closet, they're still trying to break in. I'm hiding behind the door and I'm talking on the phone with the operator, the police operator, and they're still trying to break in," said the boy. "I was just scared. I was shocked. All that went through my mind was, 'Please don't see me.'"

The men stole some jewelry, said police. The boy said he could hear them rummaging through drawers. "I hear them breaking things. I hear things falling on the floor. They weren't speaking English. They were speaking like Russian or Haitian or maybe Spanish or French or something," he said.

His mother quickly came home after calling police. She found her son sitting with officers when she arrived.

"There's no words to express that. He's amazing, brave, courageous," said the woman.

Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez stopped by the home later that day and awarded the boy with a medal for his bravery, and helping police catch the three suspects.
