Traffic was shut down near Kendall Drive and Southwest 132nd Avenue Tuesday night while bomb squad units investigated a possible pipe bomb, police said.
According to Miami-Dade police, someone said they found a device resembling a pipe bomb. That person took the device to a nearby security guard who called police.
Fire and rescue workers also said the device looked like a pipe bomb and ordered the streets closed to all traffic in the area.
Bomb squad units were on the scene and detonated the device which turned out not to be an explosive.
