A 15-year-old accused of fatally shooting another student on a South Florida school bus has bonded out of jail.
Jordyn Howe was released from jail on $21,000 bond about 11 a.m. Thursday, according to correctional officers.
On Wednesday, a judge ruled that Howe would be charged as an adult. He is expected to face formal charges of manslaughter, carrying a concealed firearm, and possession of a firearm by a minor on Jan. 28.
Authorities say Howe accidentally shot and killed 13-year-old Lourdes Guzman-DeJesus when he took a pistol out of his backpack while taking the bus to school on November 20, 2012. It fired, striking Guzman-DeJesus in the neck.
