One person was killed and another injured in an early-morning shooting in North Miami on Monday.
About 7 a.m., the North Miami Police Department received a call about a shooting at NW 135th Street and 7th Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found bullet casings but no victims at the intersection.
Police said two victims drove themselves to North Shore Hospital, where one died. The other was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. That person's condition was not immediately released.
Police closed off NW 7th Avenue for two blocks during the investigation. The street was reopened a few hours later.
