Police say a child in Miramar has died after he was hit by a car that fled the scene afterwards.
Miramar police said the boy was 6-years-old. The incident occurred in the 6200 block of Miramar Parkway.
"The child does not look good," said police earlier on Wednesday in regards to the child's condition.
Witnesses told detectives with the child on the hood of the car, the driver had swerved twice before running him over and then taking off.
A witness at the hospital told detectives the car was a newer model white Dodge Charger with possibly 22-inch rims.
