Dwyane Wade has been ruled out for tonight's game against the San Antonio Spurs. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra made the announcement following Miami's morning shoot-around.
The news is not surprising, since the coach indicated on Monday that Wade would be out indefinitely because of a sprained right ankle the star suffered during Friday's loss in Denver.
As if losing 3 straight games and losing Wade isn't enough, LeBron James now has something else to overcome: a cold. The Heat star admitted during Tuesday morning's shoot-around that he's not feeling 100% as he battles a cold.
James says the long road trip, in which the Heat lost the final 3 games, took it's toll on him. The good news is he will play tonight against San Antonio.
In other Heat news, forward Mike Miller will be active tonight for the first time this season, but it's not clear whether he'll actually play. Miller has missed the first 12 games of the season while recovering from offseason sports hernia surgery.
