As the dust settled from Black Friday and other shoppers streamed online for an early Cyber Monday, some hoped a big Powerball payout might help them pay for it all.

Saturday night's jackpot was up to $325 million, which The Associated Press reported would be the game's fourth-largest ever.

No one picked all six numbers, which will push the jackpot to at least $425 million for Wednesday's drawing.

Even on Thanksgiving, people played for their chance at an early Christmas.

John Schankey said he was celebrating a special Thanksgiving and hoped the jackpot would turn his life around.

"Of course, I'll definitely donate some to charity, I'm that kind of guy," he said. "But this will definitely take care of me if I win."

The odds of winning? About 1 in 175 million, officials said. Powerball tickets doubled in price this year, decreasing the number sold, the AP reported. But the extra revenue has made up for it and pushed jackpots up, Norm Lingle, chairman of the Powerball board of directors, told the wire service.

Saturday night's numbers were 22, 32, 37, 44 and 50 with a Powerball of 34.

The Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, Washington D.C. and the US Virgin Islands.
