A South Florida 5th grader is hoping to hit it big with an invention he came up when he was 6-years-old.

William Georges, 10, has been working for years to get his Pezo Pal bear onto store shelves.

Georges was recently awarded “2012 Top Toy of the Year” by Creative Child Magazine.

The Pezo Pal is an interactive toy with some very high-tech features. The bear plays song, reads stories, and can record your own voice.

If you want to change what you have on the bear, just plug it into your computer to customize it.

Georges came up with the idea when he put his mom's MP3 player into one of his stuffed animals when he was 6 years old.

"Children are better at making toys than adults are cause we're children and we know what we want," said Georges.

Right now, the Pezo Pal is being sold in a number of Learning Express toy stores, and a number of box stores have contacted him about possibly distributing his toy.

Marc Monroe, the owner of four Learning Express locations, said he enjoys giving local entrepreneurs, no matter how old they are, a chance to sell their items.

William hopes to go onto the hit ABC show Shark Tank to get additional support for his product.
