Thousands of holiday travelers passed through South Florida airports on the day before Thanksgiving.
At Miami International Airport, it was smooth for most fliers as flights were on time.
"Well, we're standby so usually, we can't get on on the day before Thanksgiving. All the flights are packed and everything. 'So, are you getting on today?' We hope so," said Jacqueline Jacobs.

Travelers kept their cool as luggage lines and security seemed bearable.
"Right now, today's great," said Marshall Glantz.
"It's supposed to be busy here in the airport, but I think it's very quiet right now," said another traveler.
"You're a brave man to take your entire family and all this luggage to New York today," said Local 10's Jacey Birch.
"I tell you, it's a special holiday. It's our favorite holiday of the year. Thanksgiving, what a family treat," said Rafael Penalver.
However, the Miami International Airport Economy Park and Ride parking lot, located at 1350 NW 45th Ave, was full and not accepting more vehicles as of 5:20 p.m. Wednesday. Passengers wishing to park at MIA need to use either the Dolphin or Flamingo garages which are located in front of the airport terminal.
At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, there were empty ticket booths and few lines. But the roads may be packed as people drive to their holiday destinations.
"Always excited to get home for the home cooked food and all that good stuff, something I genuinely look forward to," said Robert Jones.
