Police charged a man in connection with the deaths of his wife and two stepdaughters who were discovered in a west Miami-Dade home last week.
Alberto Sierra, 28, is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of his wife Gladys Sierra, 29, and his step-daughters Julia, 6, and Daniela, 4.
According to the arrest affidavit by the Miami-Dade Police Department, on November 10th, Sierra confessed to taking his wife and her two daughters to Mall of the Americas on West Flagler Street. It was there that they got into an argument and Sierra stabbed Gladys multiple times.
Police said Sierra then drove the family back to the home on 7300 NW 4th Street, where he held up the two girls in one room and then took Gladys to the master bedroom, suffocated her with a plastic bag, and raped her.
The report states that Sierra then took the eldest daughter, Julia, out of the room and suffocated and raped her as well He then suffocated Daniela.
A neighbor found the bodies in the closet three days later.
It was revealed on Friday that Machado had filed domestic violence charges against her current husband Alberto, as well as her ex-husband, Michael Padrino, who is the father of the dead girls.
In addition to the first-degree murder charges, Sierra faces sexual battery charges for both an adult and a child under 12 years of age.
