Across South Florida, long lines and longer wait times have plagued early voting since it began last weekend.
"We have to leave because the lines going to take two and a half hours and I'm with my mother. She's 82," said Francisco Nao, who was trying to vote early in Aventura.

Some voters at the Miramar Branch Library waited up to three hours on Thursday.
"This is the first time I've been able to vote because I just became a citizen this year, so I'm happy to wait for -- as long as it takes," said Dawn Jackson.
Former State Senator Dan Gelber is upset with the wait times. He blames a shorter early voting period of eight days.
Gelber wrote a letter to Florida Gov. Rick Scott, asking that he extend the early voting period to Sunday.
"Governor Scott could remedy that if he wanted to by simply, or at least addressing, by opening this Sunday for early voting," said Gelber.

Scott told Local 10 Thursday that voting was going well and that voters had more opportunities.

But not everyone had the time to wait and cast their ballot.
"People have left the line," said one voter. "This is ridiculous.
In a letter, the Miami-Dade County Elections Department said they continued to monitor early voting.
"We have mailed sample ballots to all voter households, provided direct access to personalized sample ballots on our website, and provided voters in line will have a sample ballot as well. In addition, water is being distributed to early voters," read the letter.

The Florida Democratic Party issued the following statement on the issue: "Once again, Rick Scott has sided against the people of Florida. In rejecting calls for an extension of early voting hours, Scott has failed in his constitutionally obligated duty, broken with the history of past Republican Governors and reminded Florida voters why they continue to hold a negative opinion of this Governor. The people of Florida will not forget his failure to stand up for their right to vote."
In Tamarac, some early voter who parked outside the Casa Linda Plaza across the street from the Tamarac Branch Library had their cars towed. In Hollywood, some received tickets for illegal parking.
The chairman of Florida's Democratic Party has also asked Scott to extend the early voting period.
