A girl was stabbed after a fight that began Thursday at Miramar High School became violent, police said.
Police said two girls got into an with another girl at the school. The administrators were able to calm the girls down, but once class let out, they took the fight to a neighborhood across the street from the school.
Miramar police said one of the girls was stabbed. It is unclear what type of weapon was used to stab her.
"There was one girl that she was fighting with that stabbed her two times. But it was two girls in the altercation. One of the girls ran. Both of them had knives," said the victim's uncle. "I'm mad. If your niece or daughter was stabbed, you'd be mad, too, right? I'm mad."
The injured girl was taken to a hospital, police said.
"She's doing all right right now. She's complaining about breathing. They say she might have a punctured lung. She might, but she's doing all right," said the victim's uncle.
Officers are questioning the two uninjured girls.
