One of the more interesting facts in Dwyane Wade's new book is that the Miami Heat star was a big fan of David Hasselhoff while growing up in Chicago.
In the book, 'A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball,' Wade writes how he would watch 'Knight Rider' with his grandmother and adds, "I actually told David Hasselhoff how he helped me get through the tough times in childhood.'
While the book touches mainly on Wade's parenting of his two young sons, the Hasselhoff revelation shows the fondness the All-Star had for the popular 80's action/adventure show which ran on NBC from 1982-86.
Hasselhoff himself has become a punchline in recent years as he continues to take bit parts in reality shows in an effort to keep up the relevancy of being the self-described, "The Hoff."
Wade begins a book tour promoting 'A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball' next week with appearances on "The View" and the "Late Show with David Letterman."
